Hi everyone! I’m planning for my first egg retrieval. I haven’t started my stims yet because I’m still waiting for my baseline ultrasound, but my tentative retrieval date is on the 25th of this month. For everyone who has actually done a retrieval, how close was your tentative scheduled procedure date from your actual date?

We have a trip planned in March so I’m worried that if my date gets pushed back a week or more it could mean that we’ll just have to cancel this whole cycle if it runs into my trip. My trip is non negotiable so please don’t suggest canceling my trip. My clinic is aware of my travel dates and they haven’t expressed any concern that it might interfere, but I’m just curious about what you’re experiences have been.

If it’s pushed back due to follicles not growing fast enough, does it usually take days or is it more like weeks to catch up?

Also, I’ve been monitored over the past 7 months and my follicles seem to always grow faster than expected on their own (unmedicated), so does that mean they’ll grow fast with medication as well, so maybe my retrieval could be earlier than expected?
