Do you teach your kids the value of money? How?

I don’t have children yet, but a family I babysit for gives their kids money (mostly quarters) for certain extra chores (not their regular part-of-the-family chores). 
They each have a piggy bank that is divided into 3 sections: give, spend, and save. They choose where to put their money but must put some in each section. 
They started this when the kids were 4 and 6.

Answer

My three year old knows you need money for houses, cars, vacations, treats and Starbucks 😅. He also knows daddy works hard for money so we can have those ‘things.’  
As a backdrop, i grew up on a farm and we all had to work very hard for any money. My children wont have that luxury. So i have to teach them somehow.
