Anyone else booked a c-section and not feeling sure its the right decision?

I had an emergency c-section with my first. It was all very traumatic, whenever I relive what happened I start to cry or about to cry. My thought for going for a c-section is everything will be calm. The Drs will all be settled and ready, it will not be a huge rush.

I had a c-section with number 1. It wasn’t an emergency and I didn’t feel like it was traumatic. 
I had baby number two repeat c-section. 
They were so very different. My second was way better! The first I remember laying on the table shivering. The second was so relaxed! I walked into the OR, they placed the epidural and I laid down while they finished prep work! The doctors and my hubby came in and it was so smooth sailing! 
I hope that gives you hope! I loved having my doctor drop the curtain right after he pulled baby out so I could see him. That didn’t happen with my first. I have thought of even requesting to hold my sweet baby before getting cleaned up this time.

I had a planned C-section with my first, since she was breech. It was all very smooth. I have scheduled a second elective C-section. My doctors did say that I was a good candidate for a VBAC, but the thought of that is just stressing me out. We decided that if I go into labor before my scheduled section then we will roll with it.

A scheduled section is very different. I had one and it was a good experience. I have finally made the decision to go for a VBAC and I'm really happy with my decision. You need to pick the choice that's best for you! :)

Sounds like me. I was induced and pushed for 3 1/2 hrs and my daughter was just not fitting. We tried forceps and the vacuum and I was too swollen for both. So I ended up with an emergency c section. I decided that I didn’t want to risk it this time and figured that the c section would be less traumatic this time around. We go in on March 25th.

I’m going for a vbac but mentally preparing for another csection in case it doesn’t work out. Mine was very traumatic as well :(

With our first I developed preeclampsia/HELLP suddenly at 32 weeks; after a day of observation we had a c-section. I'm pregnant again and as the babies are a year apart my doctor said she feels it's best to have a repeat c-section for my and the babies safety. Honestly, I just want a no-surprises birth that results in a happy-healthy baby. And then I'm gonna eat a burrito.
