Painful Cervix Check

Had my first cervix check today at 36w4d and it was SUPER painful! Are they always this painful?!? Dr was obviously trying to be gentle but I never imagined the pain to be so bad. Afterwards, I’ve been feeling slight cramps and have the worst headache! I’m dreading getting them done every week at my office now.
