When did you go in public?

Just curious: when did you take your baby in public?
Did you baby wear? Keep baby in a car seat covered up?

5 days old to the shops but just kept the car seat cover over her

Mine is 3 weeks. We’ve been on walks in the neighborhood, coffee shop, farmers market, plant nursery, library but nowhere people would expect to touch her — church, workplace. Waiting for church til she’s had vaccines @2 months. And we baby wear or keep her in the stroller with the canopy up. My discharge ob at the hospital told me to breathe fresh air every day and that has been really good for my recovery.

We went for our first walk in fresh air on day 5. First coffee shop at 10 days. We are avoiding malls and busy places until 8 weeks.

I went to a restaurant with my parents when my son was 2 days old. I have a 2 year old daughter as well so she needed out of the house and I wanted to enjoy the time with my parents while they were here because they live 4 hours away.

I took him into a store once. I think he was 4 weeks old. I kept his car seat covered and used germx before touching him once we left. 
I’m trying not to take him out again until he’s 2-3 months old because that’s when their immune systems start to work.

The day I left the hospital we had to go to walmart 🤦‍♀️ .. I live in florida so it was warmer, she was wearing long sleeves and I put a blanket on her. I kept her in her stroller/car seat with the 2 canopies up so she was hidden. Shes a month old now and never been sick, shes gone out probably 10 times since then.

Went to my 3 week ob check up kept him in the stroller and we did open the car seat cover winter protector in the office so he wasn’t totally cococoned 
Gonna go shopping tmrw but keep him in the car while one of us runs out with our toddler - as someone else said life goes on and we need to run errands but my first we kept him strictly home longer like 40 days
