Yesterday my mum came to stay with us until our engagement party next weekend.

I could tell something wasn’t ok with her straight away. I would talk to her and it was like she would look straight through Me. So I presented her to the hospital we then got sent away to a bigger town over an hr away. From there my life has come to a halt, we have discovered she has a large mass in her brain and a mass in her lung. She was transferred to the best hospital in the country this morning and my partner and I are driving 9 hours to go be by her side. They have no idea what’s happening yet. Today I had my cry, I feel exhausted and tired.

My mother was a extreme alcoholic about 5 years ago and I had a very strained relationship with her until she has heart attack when she stopped drinking and completely changed her ways.

I would hate to lose my mum after we’ve built this amazing relationship we have now! Please please please pray for her!

UPDATE:

The surgeons successful removed my mother’s brain tumour which was the size of an orange. My mum is just under 5 foot so she’s tiny. Unfortunately her lung cancer is stage four because of the spread to her brain. She’s now living with my partner and daughter and I so we can watch over her. She starts her radiation and chemo soon more to just control what’s there. The next four months are the most critical to see what happens. My partner and I are meant to get married April next year but have decided to get it officially done in may in our front yard so my mum can be there!

Update :

So my mum is handling radiation and chemo well, she’s almost lost all her hair but but partner and I were meant to have our big wedding next year, because all of that’s going on with my mum we decided to do our offical ceremony in our front yard with 13 people (as per Covid restrictions)

It was a lovely day and my mum walked me down the isle and did a reading. We’re still going ahead with our big wedding next year but was nice to do something special for my mum!
