So my twins are 2 months old. I’ve been cleared by my OB to resume all normal activity and my husband just had a vasectomy so until he is cleared by his doctor we need to use condoms. Well this evening we were doing the deed when one of our twins started screaming bloody murder And to avoid him waking our other kids I got dressed and went to comfort him. Within minutes of calming him down he broke out in a red raised rash and swelling around his eyes. I immediately took him into the bathroom and gave him a bath and I had my husband change his sheets... the only thing that changed this whole night from our normal was that my husband and I got intimate and during that time used a latex condom. So my son is either allergic to latex or lubricant.... now to the embarrassing part... I called the telenurse to make sure there wasn’t anything else I needed to do since the swelling and rash were pretty much gone and when I told her my son had a latex reaction she asked how I knew to which I responded that’s the only thing new to him. She then asked how he can into contact with latex and I had to explain the story... I am mortified.... she then told me I did everything right and that I needed to call his pediatrician on Monday.....which means I’ll have to explain everything again...
