Was it abusive of me to pull my boyfriend back by his hair when he tried to walk away from me?

My boyfriend and I got in an argument and he kind of stormed off harshly so I grabbed him by his hair (He has a short haircut like most men so it's not like it hurt bad) and pulled him back. He yelled own and turned around and almost swung but quickly put his hand down. He was gonna hit me wtf..

Yes you were abusive for that his swinging at you would’ve been completely justified as that’s a normal reaction to getting yanked back by the hair. You are WRONG and have no right to be upset with him for almost swinging at you. You have issues and need to walk away from the relationship if you resort to getting physical with him for walking away. If he walks away, you have NO right to pull his hair or anything physical. So you put hands on him and want to act shocked when he went to defend himself out of instinct? At least he had the decency to stop himself unlike you. That’s definitely being physically abusive. You didn’t want him to leave you so you resorted to physically hurting him and yanking him by the hair to get him to stay. Why you even have to ask this question is beyond me. Shorter hair hurts more when its getting pulled, you wouldn't like to be yanked by your hair because your walking away from a situation you most likely didn't feel comfortable in. Dont put your hands on someone PERIOD.
