Is GBS positive embarrassing? I told my MIL I tested positive and she acted really weird like I was dirty or had some type of disease. Now I feel weird about it.

Not embarrassing at all. It's normal...about 25% of healthy women test positive for it.

Don't be embarrassed about something that is completely normal. You can be embarrassed for your MIL because she is ignorant. She should educate herself before passing judgment. For the future You now know what you can and can't share unless you want educate her.
