Benadryl? How safe is it?

How safe is it to take Benadryl to help me sleep? I haven’t slept a full night in at least 8 weeks, I’m exhausted all day and can’t help but take the occasional nap, but at night I’m WIDE AWAKE. I’m afraid I’ll lose my mind soon if I don’t get a good nights sleep. But I’m absolutely terrified to take can’t type of medication while I’m pregnant.

It is definitely on the safe list. That said if you think you might need something that you want to use a little more regularly, you might not want to be taking Benadryl every night, or every other night. But still I think if you just really need a good night sleep it will be fine.
Have you tried taking melatonin? It's natural, and doctors usually say not over 5mg. I have some that are 3mg and they work great!
