I know that my boyfriend wants kids eventually because he asked me if I ever wanted more (I have one, not his) 
He also told me he would like to have some. 
Would it be weird to ask him what age he’d like to try for a kid? He will be 30 this year and I will be 26. We’ve only been together 3 months.

Coming from someone who’s been in a situation of he wants kids, Im not sure if/when I do and didn’t start really discussing it until a couple years in, please ask the question. Kids are something you can’t compromise on and can be a dealbreaker if y’all don’t see eye to eye with timelines and having them vs. not having them.

I wouldn't phrase it that way. I would remind him he had talked about kids in the future and ask what he would like to see in a relationship before deciding to try to have kids. No rush, you're just curious.

Nope. That was one of the first conversations my boyfriend and I had. There was no way I'd be investing my time with someone if I knew his timelines didnt line up with mine. Especially since my ex didnt want kids. I'd ask him!
