VBAC or repeat csection ?

Question

I’m so torn! Doc said I’m a good candidate for VBAC. My first born was emergency csection-had to get induced, got to 8cm then stopped. He was sunny side up and then started going into distress so had csection. This was 4 years ago now so I know healing wise it’s ok. 
Just nervous will wind up same way with needing csection.
Any advice or experience?! Sooo torn ah

Vbac! That’s what I’m planning. I’ve done sooo much research and it truly seems that vbac is the safer option for sure.

Had an emergency csection with my twins. Dr never even talked to me about a Vbac but after researching me and my husband decided for our peace of mind we would go with a scheduled csection. Did a small part of me hope to go into labor by myself yeah since I’ve never experienced any kind of labor I feel like I missed out on that part but pregnant with number 3 now and don’t think I’m a candidate this time anyways but still would go with a scheduled csection. Just makes me and hubby feel more at ease and we can plan for the big kids to be taken care of

This is my 3rd baby my second was an emergency csection too, he was breeched and the went in for check up and he was out of fluid and had to be taken, my dr said for me it's a wait and see because of some factors at the hospital... 1.  The anesthesiologist is just on call 24/7 but they work normal daytime hours... 2. Some drs dont believe in vbac at my hospital so it also depends on who's on call when I go into labor... finally 3. You can't have any drugs that help with making your labor go faster it can cause your incision to bust open from the drugs making it contract... that's what all my dr told me..

1st daughter csection after 66 hours of labor, 2nd daughter VBAC after 12 hours of labor, 3rd surro daughter csection, 4th surro daughter I’m trying for another VBA2C. I just prefer the vaginal over csection delivery. I’m one of the weirdos that looks forward to labor and delivery, then seeing that sweet face!

With my youngest I had to option to VBAC and I would have but doctor does NOT induce for VBACs because it’s very dangerous. I did not want to go past 40 weeks. So I went ahead and scheduled my csection for 39 weeks. If I went into labor naturally before that I would delivered VBAC. I never went into labor so my son was born via repeat csection.
There’s always the risk of having to have another emergency csection. It’s definitely something you need to think about and weigh out your options!

I’m in the same boat. I had my daughter 9 years ago. I was induced and stopped at 7.5 cm so I had an emergency c-section because my water broke several hours prior. I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant now and was given the option of a VBAC but I am also completely nervous and scared. I’m sorry this wasn’t any help. Just wanted to share my story too.
