Mirror during labor?

Question

I know some hospitals offer to bring in a mirror during labor so you can see the birth. Did you have a mirror? Did you like it? Or would you prefer not to see? I didn’t have a mirror with my first and can’t decide if it would be helpful to have it this time around or just freak me out. Comment and let me know!

My first they asked me and I said no, then I said sure and I regret it lol. I know, I know...”it’s beautiful”... yeah, when you see someone else doing it lol. Seeing what everyone else was seeing can stay in my imagination from now on.

I’m pregnant with my third and this will me the third time that I plan on getting an epidural. 
The first time I wasn’t offered a mirror and since I couldn’t feel anything I pushed for about an hour and a half. 
The second time I wasn’t even asked, my OB just insisted lol. I pushed for five mins if that. It helped motivate me honestly and make sure I was pushing correctly. I’ll be asking for a mirror this time for sure if she doesn’t just throw one down there again lol

I used the mirror with my Vbac because my epidural made me completely numb and I wanted to make sure I was “pushing” correctly.

I would tell you yo do it! I did with my 2nd. Its def an experience. Its like watching someone pull a bandaid off or take blood. I saw the head come out and was like nooooooo... nonono nope. Lol that was enough for me. But it was something ill remember and appreciate lol

I guess I’m in the minority in this... but I used a mirror with my first and OH MY GOSH. It is amazing to see how AWESOME your body is. It’s hard to explain it, but I really loved it. It’s not as “gross” as people say, you literally get to watch your baby being born. Nothing gross about that in my opinion

I would prefer not to see as I might freak out about the physics of what’s going on in that moment, not sure if I could handle it. Everyone’s different though. Bring. One along if you can v I’m sure they wouldn’t say no.

They never asked me if I wanted the mirror out or not. It was already out and I didnt even notice it until I was an hour into pushing and I looked up and saw my sons head...then I was like

And I felt no different with it there once I noticed it lmao

No thanks, I dont want to see. Did feel the head with my hand though, with my 2nd. Didnt get a chance with my first, she basically flew out all at once, lol!
