Flu shot? He’s sick

I think Colton has RSV again. We have to go to the doctor tomorrow because he’s scheduled for his flu shot should I get them to test?
He’s not sleeping at night but taking a lot of naps during the day (very unusual)
Very Fussy (not normal)
Runny nose (green)
Congestion
a little bit of retracting
Coughing
Fever is 100
Can he get the flu shot if he’s sick? Do you think they will test for RSV?

Definitely ask them to test. I’m not an expert, but I’m pretty sure you aren’t supposed to get any vaccine if you’re sick as it will further put a strain on the immune system.

If he has a fever and/or significant illness he should not get the flu shot. If they don’t offer to do a nasal swab to test for rsv and influenza ask them to do it.

We were actually due for a flu booster but little was sick so we went anyway and they treated it as a regular appt

Can’t get any vaccines or flu shot if they are sick. Babe was scheduled for the flu shot and a vaccine and two days before her appt I took her in for a fever. Turns out she had an ear infection and had to reschedule her flu shot and vaccine until
