Does this sound fishy to you?
My husband and I have a joint banking account and I can see anything that goes out or in through my mobile app. Well I noticed that my husband made a purchase of $350 so I asked him what it was for. Not to scold him or anything I was just curious because we usually don’t make purchases that large without talking to each other. He told me that he bought my sister a gift for Valentine’s Day. The thing that is weird is that my sister and I are not close at all and we never have been so it was extremely bizarre to me. My husband has probably only seen my sister a handful of times because she is toxic and has a mental illness so I try to keep my family away from her. Anyway I asked him what the gift was and he refused to tell me and said “sorry for trying to do something nice for YOUR family.”
The whole thing sounded so fishy to me so I texted my sister and asked her if she got a gift from my husband and the text said “read” immediately. Less than 2 minutes later my husbands phone rang and he said “I have to take this call, it’s for business.” I tried calling my sister and her phone went to voicemail like it was on a call. My husband was in his car talking on the phone for a full hour.
He came back in and tried to give me a hug but I demanded he tell me what he bought my sister and why. He ended up calling me annoying and leaving for the night. I drove past my sisters house and his car was there at 3am. Does this sound fishy to anyone else?
