Nurse talking about me behind my back...
So when I found out I was pregnant a friend of mine referred me to her OB office. They have like 9 practitioners. So needless to say it's a big office. Well, upon first getting pregnant (honestly after waiting 8 years never thought it would happen) I wanted to confirm the pregnancy before I quit smoking. I started at 21 and let me tell you regretted it sooo much. Anyhow, my first appointment I was honest with them. I was in the back already, just got done with a pap, waiting for my pregnancy test results, and had to use the restroom again. The doctor and her nurse had just left the room. On the way to the restroom they have a small area where they have a computer and paperwork and such. I got up, peaked out and decided I should just go really fast. As I'm walking to the restroom theres my doctors main nurse and another nurse. All I hear is "Yeah, and Rachel is a smoker. 50 bucks she wont quit. (Both start to giggle)." I'm standing right behind them btw. The other nurse that was facing the hall says "RACHEL!" As if trying to let the main nurse know I was standing behind her so she would stop talking. I was like "I need to use the restroom." The main nurse turned around and said "Oh, go ahead hun." 😒 so they were talking about me. It hurt my feelings to say the least. Once I was back in my room my doctor came in, told me its confirmed and wanted to get me in for my first ultrasound. After hearing that little heartbeat I quit that day. But today I went in (35+1) and as I'm laying there (getting NST scannings done) I could hear her talking about someone else!? When I told my friend who referred me she told me she caught them (different nurses) talking about her husband one time. Saying they hated how "annoying" he was each time she brought him in. I think that's so unprofessional! I never said anything to anyone. Probably should have but I dont like to "rock the boat." Each time I see her I feel almost uncomfortable. Like is she still talking about me behind my back? I don't think this is normal but has this happen to anyone else? It's so late in my pregnancy theres no point in changing doctors/offices. 🤷♀️ guess I just have to deal?
