I'll try to make this short. My father and his work buddy 4 years ago got into a car accident. A lady rear ended them. Her father is a high attorney. Basically, the lawyer my dads buddy hired is no good. He has been dragging this for so many years without any resolution. The lawyer wants my dad and his buddy to accept the whatever payment the attorney is offering and just close the case. The attorney basically is blaming that the road wasnt good for driving and the visibility and blah blah. He doesnt want his daughter accepting responsibility of the accident. My father didnt work for 6 months due to the injury he sustained to his neck. My dads lawyer is now forcing my dad and his buddy to be present at the meeting with the attorney. If any of you ladies had to deal with this, is it mandatory for my father to be there at the meeting or can the lawyer handle it himself? (My father wants to know)
