Hey guys! So I’m only 15 1/2 weeks with my first, but my fiancé is dead set on naming the baby after his father if it’s a boy. The full name would be William Richard Stone. William is his dads name, Richard is my dads name. I’m having an issue with this for 2 reasons.

1) I just don’t feel like William fits a baby :( I hate (no offense) the nicknames bill and billy so everyone will call the baby either William or Will. And while I think it’s a nice name for a teenager/adult I just can’t picture it for my baby :/

2) I’m close to my stepdad and feel weird having my fiancé’s dad and my dad honored but not him. If we have another boy in the future I will have my stepdads name as the middle name but idk it just feels weird to me.

All of this won’t matter (until the next baby) if the baby is a girl so I could be worrying for nothing haha.
