Have you ever had your heart set on the gender you want your baby to be?

Idk why but I always saw my first born being a boy.. So if sometime down the line if I had a girl she would have a older brother.. My relationship when I was growing up with my brother was the best after all his basketball games he would carry me on his neck, if a boy broke my heart he was there.. I have my heart set on a boy.. I have a feeling this baby is a boy but I also believe because I want it to much I'll be disappointed and this baby will be a girl.. I know that sounds terrible but it's what I want.. Of course I just want the baby to be healthy but I do want my baby boy 😞

I wanted a girl so badly so I kept convincing myself it was a boy so I wouldn't be disappointed.  I ended up getting the girl.

It's called gender disappointment many moms dads and siblings can experience it very normal we aren't in control of our baby's gender wishing you the best

Totally understand! We wanted a girl SO bad! I would have been disappointed if it were a boy. But here's the thing, you feel how you feel and it's okay to have a preference! If it is a girl don't beat yourself up for being disappointed. You're allowed to have feelings either way! Just let yourself be disappointed and then you will have an easier time adjusting :)

Before I found out I was pregnant with my 1st, I absolutely wanted a boy first. I was the oldest and always wanted an older brother. However, the day I found out I was pregnant, I just knew it was a girl. And I ended up having a beautiful little girl. Never was disappointed during my pregnancy. But I was scared because I had always thought I would have a boy first and didn't really know what to do with a girl. All that went away when she was put in my arms. Now I am having my boy and I am so excited because my daughter is now 8 and she will be such an amazing big sister!!! And I get to have the best of both worlds!!!

It's ok to feel gender disappointment and it doesn't make you a bad person. But it will go away when you hold him/her the first time, or sooner when you are preparing for your little one's arrival!

I have always seen myself with a baby girl, I could never imagine myself as a boy mom.  However, we are definitely having a boy! At first I was a bit sad because I had been picturing a little princess all along but that quickly wore off and now I am head over heels in love with my baby boy. I can't wait for him to get here so we can snuggle. I know we plan to have more kids so maybe we will have a girl in the future!? Either way I just want my son to be healthy and happy!

With my first one I wanted a boy just because my husband already had a girl and he wanted a boy. I ended up having my little boy! It came to be a shock when 6 months later I found out I was expecting again and I really wanted a girl! I said that if I didn't have a girl that I would probably be depressed my whole pregnancy and everyone called me selfish. I had a feeling tho that it was a girl and here I am 37.3 with my little girl! I hope she stays a girl! I have my heart set on her coming out with girl parts!

I wanted a boy first but didn't care too much the first time.  The second time I had another girl, and was  pretty disappointed when I found out, but of course got over it. Now this time it's a boy and I'm so excited 😍😍😍😍😍
