Olive oil during pregnancy ?

Have anyone ever heard of drinking a teaspoon of olive oil during pregnancy to prevent tearing during labor?

No but our hospital uses olive oil to stretch your perineum while you’re pushing the baby out. It’s got tons of healthy features about it but otherwise I’ve never heard that.

Not drinking it, but massaging it into your area is recommended to help stretch.

I tore with my first. She was 7 lbs 12oz. When I was pregnant with my 2nd I masturbated  and had sex regularly using 100% virgin coconut oil as lube. I did not tear with my 2nd- and he was 8lbs 15oz- got stuck in my pelvic bone/ broke his arm- my midwife had her arm in me trying to help him out- so I don’t know how the hell I didn’t tear. I’m thinking the regular use of coconut oil had to of helped. But I don’t see how eating olive oil would help you down there-maybe if you applied it directly 🤷🏻‍♀️

I did evening primrose oil ans vitamin e oil and still had a 2nd degree tear. They also massaged my perineum with mineral oil before she crowned.
