Twin moms and sleep.
I have two year old twin girls. They just turned two a couple weeks ago. They've been sleeping in their own room since before they turned one, and here recently within the last few months I've had issues with them falling asleep. They play, a lot. They throw pillows, blankets and their lovies out of the bed or into each other's beds. Jump up and down like a trampoline in their bed, and just generally giggle and play.
Now, this is cute and all, but after two hours of playing after they've been put down for bed it's a little draining, and also making me feel guilty about leaving them back there for so long when they're not sleeping.
I've tried making their bedtime later, nap times shorter, bedtime even earlier in case they missed their window and have hit their second wind. Nothing seems to work unless we were out that day and they missed a nap, which doesn't happen often.
Any other twin moms experience this or have any ideas on getting them to sleep instead of play? I don't have an extra room so seperating them isn't an option, plus I think they might miss each other or be afraid all alone since all they've ever known is each other.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
