Anyone have asthma?

So I caught a cold since monday. I also have asthma and this cold won't go away. I cant shower pick up my kid or do any physical work without having a asthma attack. The Dr said I'm fine just take nyquil. That doesnt help with my shortness of breath she says oh just take your inhaler. I've been needing my inhaler every 12 minutes. Is there anything to do to lessen this chest tightness. A warm shower didnt do much for me.

Sounds like you need a steroid . Your doctor can prescribe a breathing treatment

If you take inhaler you should not take cold/sinus medecin. It reduce  the effect of your inhaler.... ask your pharmacist he his the specialiste with your medication...

I put peppermint oil on my chest when mine gets tight like that. If you don’t have that maybe try some Vick’s

I would go back to the dr or urgent care and get a breathing treatment. I have asthma and when my chest was that tight The inhaler alone wouldn’t help enough and the breathing treatment would make it so the tightness went away

My son has asthma along with heart problems that messes with his breathing. Have you tried actual breathing treatments instead of an inhaler? It’s works wonders for my son. His get worse with a cold too

Do you have a nebulizer? Can you ask your doctor to write a prescription for one with solution?
