Why is everyone asking if they belly dropped?

I’m just asking coz Im a FTM. Does that have to do with labor?

My baby has been head down (like the doctor touches her head when she checks me) since December (ultrasounds showed her head being right there that early). So I kind of just leave it. I’m convinced I won’t “drop.”

It could be a sign of labor coming. But I honestly look like I “dropped” a few times a week, depending on baby’s position.  I don’t recall ever really looking any lower with my first daughter before labor.

It some times means labor might be near but it really doesn't mean any thing cuz you can drop way before labor or you can not drop until you are already in labor
