Weird pain-gallbladder?

Katie

Hey ladies,

I’ve been having burning pain on the right side of my upper abdomen since about 16 weeks. It’s gotten progressively worse. I thought it was weird heartburn at first, but it feels different than any heartburn I’ve had before. At first it just felt like a burning sensation on my skin in a small area, like you rubbed a hot pepper on your skin. Now the burning is nearly constant unless I don’t eat at all and more intense than it was originally. It gets worse after I eat, and occasionally is accompanied by sharp stabbing pains as well. It’s worse if I eat greasy food or junk food, and better if I eat healthier, but if I eat any junk food at all it’s pretty much shot for the day regardless of what I eat. This is what made me think it was my gallbladder. The pain is not typically that intense, it’s just uncomfortable and constant.

Well I’ve talked to my OB about it and he ordered a blood test for liver enzymes and a ultrasound of my gallbladder, liver, & kidneys. Both of which came back normal. But they had me fast for 8hrs before the ultrasound so it really wasn’t flared up at that point. I plan to continue to make diet changes and I have an OB appointment on Thursday and I plan to talk with him further, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this? My husband just thinks I’m a hypochondriac 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️
