Can my baby have apple?

Is it safe to offer apple slices or small cut up pieces?

Yes, you can do both. My son eats it both ways.

As everyone said, its a choking hazard. I usually grate it or cook it.
BUT my guy is really really good at chewing, so I have tried him with super thin raw slices. Like almost paper thin. And he did fine. Just make sure you are supervising and are confident you can provide first aid if they choke

I give my son very small pieces of raw apple. He figured out to use his front teeth to chew. BUT the pieces are extremely small.

It is a choking hazard raw but you know your own child and what they can / can't take... I grate it as that's not a choking hazard I'm not sure I'm ready for slithers yet as that is, so cook it or grate it for no choking hazard, cut it into slithers if you've got a good chewer and your happy with the risks xx

My blw book says to microwave it for a few seconds,  it makes it softer. But let it cool, of course.
