Weight loss PSA
So ive seen a lot of posts asking about good diets to lose weight like Keto, atkins, etc. or asking how to lose weight. So i just thought Id give a bit of info on the subject to help you ladies out.
The only way you will lose weight is by being on a caloric deficit, meaning you are burning more calories than you consume. That’s how weight loss works. So you can eat healthy, be on keto, or any other fad diet and you will not lose weight if you are still eating excess calories. Im not saying Keto doesn’t work or every diet is bullshit, because for some people restricting certain food groups does help them consume fewer calories. But all in all the real key to losing weight is just consuming fewer calories than you burn.
This also does not mean to starve yourself. Everyone regardless of trying to lose weight should consume at least 1200 calories per day. If you guys are interested in staying on track with what you eat then the app MyFitnessPal is really great. It helps track your food and tracks how many calories you should eat for your weight loss (or gain) goals. I highly recommend it.
Remember not to kill yourselves trying to look “perfect” either. What you eat is the most important part of becoming healthy. Exercise matters too but diet is 80% of it. And most of all make sure to take everything in moderation and find a balance.
