I had to go to urgent care yesterday to see a doctor because my OB was fully booked and they were not able to squeeze me in. The doctor and staff were very sweet at urgent care and she prescribed nitrofurantoin and I googled it. At first I read it’s safe but then I continued to read and it listed a bunch of birth defects.

Has anyone taken this medication while pregnant and in their second trimester?

If not, can anyone call their OB and ask if it’s safe for me? Mine is closed until Monday 😩😩
