So I went into the hospital for some light red spotting. We did the whole procedure HCG, ultrasound, etc. they tell me to go back to the waiting room and when they call us back they have one of those hospital gowns I started to get a little worried because they where only supposed to call me back to discuss my results but I brushed off. So I change and the doctor comes in. He then presses on my lower abdomen asking if there’s any pain I say no. He then asks if it hurts when I stand up I said I’ve been having some off and on cramping but nothing to serious. He then comes to tell me that I may have an ectopic pregnancy because the radiologist said he didn’t see anything. This is where it gets real interesting. I was freaking out so thank god my mom was with me. She turns to him and says how can it be an ectopic pregnancy if we saw the baby. When we got an ultrasound she showed us the gestational sac with a tiny blob (the yolk sac) and everything was in the right place. So he goes out of the room calls the radiologist and the radiologist said oh I said I didn’t see anything because there was no fetal pol. WTF so you got me all freaked out for no reason like atleast be a little more explanatory! I was on fire! So here I am the next day looking at my tiny blob. With an HCG of 7,283.5 at 5 weeks 1 day.
