This FET cycle has been a terrible roller coaster and I’m currently waiting in limbo. I had a FET on 1/24. On 1/31 (7dp5dt) I broke down and took a pregnancy test that was expiring that day. BFN. To make it worse, I started bleeding that morning. I figured it was too late for implantation bleeding so I was sure I was out this cycle. My first beta was scheduled for Monday 2/3 so I decided to take a test the Sunday morning before, just to be sure and to mentally prepare myself for the call from the nurse on Monday. I got the faintest line imaginable. With a bit of hope and encouragement from my spouse, I took a digital test Sunday evening and it said “Pregnant”. My first beta ended up being 74 (10dp5dt) which is positive and in the “normal” range but I thought it seemed low. My second beta, two days later was 188 - more than double and still “normal” but I couldn’t shake the feeling that it was low compared to my previous pregnancy. My nurse said everything appeared to be fine. I was scheduled for my first ultrasound on 2/21. On Friday, 2/14, I still couldn’t shake the feeling that my level was low so I asked for a 3rd beta just for comfort. The lab I go to is not the lab associated with my fertility clinic because I live 2 hours away from the clinic. I got the call from my fertility nurse that my levels had gone down so it was a negative test and I should stop all medications. I was devastated. My portal with the clinic hasn’t been updated yet and I didn’t ask what the actual number was. This morning at 4am I got notification from my lab that the results were available to view in the hospital system (not the system associated with the fertility clinic). My level was 4370! If I calculated the doubling rate, I think I should have had at least 3000 and still been “normal”. My labs HAD NOT gone down at all but have actually doubled as they should! By this time I have been without PIO for 2 nights. When I talked to the on call nurse, she said the values they saw were 4.3. How can they screw this up so badly?!? Has anyone experienced this before? I started my meds as soon as possible but I’ve been experiencing period cramps for the entire day. My nurse didn’t sound too positive in the ability to save this pregnancy. I’m just at a loss right now. I have to wait till tomorrow to get another beta. I took another pregnancy test today and it came back positive before I put the cap back on. There is no way my beta was 4.3 on Friday. I just needed to vent.
