Help understanding OPKs and ovulation
Hi ladies,
I’m new to this process and this is the first cycle I’ve tracked using OPKs. I am naive and didn’t even realise women ovulated on different days until I spoke to a pregnant friend of mine who said she ovulates on CD9.
My partner and I have had six friends/family babies born in a 5 month window so have decided its our turn. I had my LH surge at midday on CD 13 (15th February) confirmed with OPKs with ovulation predicted on CD 14 according to several apps. Last opk was 7:30pm on CD 14 and LH had gone back to LOW. Should I be continuing to test? I haven’t tested since last night when I got the LOW. If I do need to keep testing, what is the reasoning? Just wondering if I can save the money on tests and only test when necessary?
Also, is it normal to go from low to PEAK then HIGH and then back to LOW in a 36 to 48 hour window? It seemed so sudden and the suddenly gone!
Thanks so much and I’m sending baby dust to each and every one of you! Well, perhaps not those that are on here trying not to get pregnant 🤔
