Regular daycare or in home daycare?

I’m struggling with the fact that I’m gonna be putting my LO in daycare this August. I know he’ll be 1 and ready to socialize but it’s breaking my heart knowing I won’t get to spend my days with him anymore because I’ll be going back to school and work. For those of you who aren’t able to stay home with your baby, which option do you feel is best? Hiring a nanny, in home daycare, or just regular daycare? Any positive daycare stories are welcome because my anxiety is eating me alive about it 😔

If you can afford it, a nanny and nanny cams.  If not, I’d do an actual daycare because there are better checks there.  When I was still thinking I’d be going back to work we looked at a daycare that had cameras in the infant room so I could check in using a parent code whenever I wanted.
I wouldn’t trust my nonverbal child with anyone without a camera though 😬 I am a little over cautious/paranoid

I was so worried about traditional daycare, but my baby looooves it. She loves the staff, she loves her friends, and she basically hates weekends alone with us now. 😂

Our son started an in home daycare when he was 5 months old and he loves it! He’s so much more socialized just in the past month and LOVES other kids. It was more difficult for me than him lol but honestly seeing how happy he is at drop off every day makes it way easier than I thought.

Regular daycare because they have multiple staff and if one is sick you don't have to worry about finding alternative care/staying home from work that day the way you would with a home daycare provider.

I have my daughter in a day home that my friend recommended. They are cheaper where I live and I also spent 12 years in a day home so that’s what I’m comfortable with lol

My first daughter started daycare at 9 weeks old. She now almost 5 years old and has thrived there from the beginning. She’s made dear friends that have been with her there since the infant room and they are all in Pre-K now. Best decision we ever made. 
My current babe is 6 months, EBF, and refuses bottles. I also loathe pumping but at some point, she’ll start daycare too. Maybe in August when she can have cow’s milk out of a sippy cup 😂

Our daughter loves the daycare center. It's helpful it's brand new and she's the only infant there. We get updates and pictures throughout the day. Make sure you do your research on a facility or in home location. Most starts should have a way to look up daycare and you can see if they have complaints it open incidences.

My son is in regular daycare, and they are amazing. They take great care of him, I get updates throughout the day, adorable crafts, sensory experiences I couldn't think up etc. Here he is chilling at drop off the other day.
