So y’all know my son as 2 holes in his heart and an enlarged heart. Since he was born he’s had breathing problems and has been in and out of the hospital. I am VERY on top of him being sick. I check his temp when he’s coughing or if he feels a little warm. My husband says I’m too overprotective and even called me “Gypsy’s mom” (if you know who I’m talking about you know what I mean)

I can’t help that I almost lost my son just a few months ago and I’m scared he’ll be sick and I won’t know it.

If I wasn’t for me we would have never caught his allergic reaction, his bronchitis, his oxygen dropping because of a cold, his asthma and he wouldn’t have gotten the doctors to realize how bad it is and agree to surgery.

My husband doesn’t really get it. This is a little baby who can’t tell us he’s feeling bad or can’t breath that well. It kinda annoys me because I don’t think he understands or wants to know that this could go very wrong if he gets around one person with a common cold. Our son will not be a normal baby until this surgery and it scares me. Am I being too overprotective? Should I back off?
