Male and female friendships. Do they work?

My whole life, I always seem to get on more with guys than girls. Don't get me wrong, I do have female friends who I love very much. But majority of my lasting friendships have been with guys. 
What are your opinions on male and female friendships? How does your SO feel about it?

I try having male friends but they always caught feelings for me or start acting weird. I will be friendly but I tend to keep them at a distance

I've had three deep male friendships in my life. One is my current partner and lover, and two are still my besties. And nope, there's no issues between either of them and my bf, I can hang out with either of them without him and it's cool. 
I think the times male-female friendships don't work out is when one or both parties aren't being genuine about what they really want from the friend of the opposite gender

Yes they do , my best friend is a bloke and we’ve been friends since we were 8 , same with my BIL he’s been close to me and my brother for 20 years. Having a penis or a Vagina doesn’t mean anything in friendship not to me anyway

Literally, 100% of the “guy friends” I have had have tried to get in my pants at some point and when I declined it ended the “friendship”. I guess everyone’s experiences are different but that’s mine 🤷🏼‍♀️

You have to have a guy that is secure in you guys relationship honestly i have majority make friends when we go to certain function his friend throw none of the females would know me but half the guys do... I’m a social person first off but for some reason every friendship has ended or started with them trying to date me at some point... it really depends on you as a person

Ive always mainly had male friends because of my interests- surprisingly a lot of girls in south fl dont like getting dirty or rough lol. My bf doesnt mind it at all because ive known most of them since I was a kid. Im quite masculine and hes on the feminine side, so he has a lot of female friends, which I dont mind. If one oversteps a boundary, we are quick to tell one another and that persons gets cut off. As long as you have honesty and loyalty, theres no problem

I think majority of the time it works out fine. My best friend from college is a guy and my SO doesn’t have a problem with him. I always make sure my so knows he comes first and that I confide in him more than any of my friends.

Of course you can. My husband has a lifelong female friend and they have never had sexual feelings for each other. More like brother sister relationship. I get along better with men and in general
