Politics, just thinking
This is just me thinking in writing lol.
So, when my husband and I first started dating we didn’t discuss politics much. I guess I knew he was more conservative but didn’t care, especially since we never talked about it and it was before both sides went crazy lol.
Over the 6 years we’ve been together I’ve slowly noticed myself definitely leaning more towards the liberal side of things. There’s also some conservative issues I can kind of “understand” or side with. I’ve always been kind of a neutral since some issues I can see both sides on. I am not a fan of Trump to say the least, I don’t hate him and I only say that because that’s just not in my personality to say I hate someone.
Anyways, the husband is definitely a huge Trump fan. Most of my family is more liberal sided, some in the middle about things. But sometimes when my husband brings up trump or politics to me, I have to shut it down 😂 and there are times I legitimately ask myself how TF I married someone so conservative lol, I mean probably cause it wasn’t a main topic we talked about.
I do think after having my daughter (who’s 3 now) has definitely opened my eyes. Also, realizing that just because I’m married to someone who has certain views doesn’t mean I can’t have my own views, even if they’re opposing. Because when I was younger, I definitely went along with whatever my SO thought. Not because I had to or was forced to, but just simply being young and naive.
Literally no idea where I’m going with this post but here we are lol.
