Sore throat HELP

21+3 today... it’s 3:30am and what I thought was a cold has turned into razor blades in my throat and I can’t sleep. I’ve been coughing up mucus / phlegm that is yellowish for 2 days and thought I could handle it but the sore throat is INTENSE pain. I have the little white patches and red dots on my throat when I look with a flashlight. I have no fever. I am reading that if I have a cough it isn’t strep throat and even if it is you don’t NEED antibiotics to beat it. Please help me. Should I go to the doctors- has anyone else been sick like this?
