Ultrasound?

35 weeks and haven’t gotten an ultrasound since finding out the gender, is this normal? I see others who at least get to see their babies faces and I haven’t! I asked my ob and they told me since I haven’t had any complications they don’t schedule ultrasounds.

A lot of people pay to do extra ultrasounds (like the 3D ones) because typically doctors don’t do them after 20 weeks unless you’re high risk or it’s medically necessary!

Very normal. I had my last one at my doctor's at 20 weeks. I paid a private place for one at 30 weeks because I wanted an updated picture of her.

Yup very normal. Those who get an ultrasound after 20 weeks are for a specific reason. Only the 8 and 20 week ones are covered by insurance.

I haven’t had one since I was 18 weeks, when I found out the gender, but I have a ultrasound next Friday I’ll be 29+4 I can’t to see how much he has grown

I've had four total. I had one right after I found out at 4w5d to make sure baby was where he needed to be because I've had an ectopic. That just showed a yolk sac. Then I came back a week later to make sure there was a baby. Then I had my anatomy scan at 22 weeks and the last one I paid for 4d through my doctors office.

If your not high risk or pregnancy is going fine with no complication where I’m from you only get two ultra sounds dating and gender scans I’m 13 week and at 28 week I get to see my baby every 3 weeks cause I’m classed as high risk even though it’s a joy to see my baby that often it makes me panic due to being high risk

Yup my doctor wouldn’t give me another because my pregnancy is “boring” in her terms meaning no complications. I paid for a 5d through a third party.

I’ve gotten 7 ultrasounds and I have another tomorrow but I’m extremely high risk so I’m having 1-2 appointments with doctors every week until I deliver. Better than being stuck in the hospital I guess
