When does your OB usually give/suggest a c section due to the baby being breech

My Dr said they usually won't turn after 37 weeks, so they plan the c section then for the 39th week. My friend had a breech c section and they did one more check for her the day or 2 before to confirm he didn't turn last minute.

My dr didnt my boy stayed breeched and I went in for a apt and they dis a stress test at 39 weeks and he ran out of fluid so they took him the next day

Usually between 38-39 weeks depending on the provider and if baby or mom are having any issues I’ve seen them perform a section as early as 37 weeks if baby’s heart rate or fluid aren’t looking reassuring or mom has preeclampsia,etc

There are very few doctors and midwives who are experienced delivering a breech baby vaginally so the options are to have the doctors attempt to turn (I tried this, really painful, unfortunately didn’t work), start seeing a chiropractor trained in Webster technique to help baby turn on his own (I didn’t have time for this but know someone who had success with it around 36 or 37 weeks after going for 2 weeks), or csection.

When you're 39 weeks, unless another issue comes up. 39 weeks is considered full term with doctors. They won't let me get my c-section before then.
