Once a cheater always a cheater?

Am I the only one who considers sexting another girl, as cheating? 
I warned him once before id be gone if he did it again, and he did it again in a 6 month span. I broke up with him, but he keeps trying to get me back. He swears he will change. Do they ever change? Its hard because I just want to hold onto the good parts of our relationship, but im so hurt I feel like i wont be able to trust him.

As hard as it is, he won’t ever change. 
If he has already done it twice what’s going to stop him doing it again? 
If he honestly loved you he wouldn’t want to hurt you like that. 
You deserve better.

So I don't believe in "once a cheater always a cheater" and I do think people can change. But you told him what would happen if he did it again and he did it anyway. That to me shows a disregard for your feelings and your relationship. If I was in your place I wouldn't continue the relationship.

Sexting is cheating for sure, also yeah if he did it again that quickly he’s not changed and won’t any time soon.

Where's the guarantee that there will be no others or he would stop at sexting the next time? If he is with you why look for other women? I don't believe that someone would change in this respect. Only becoming better at concealing what he/she is doing behind someone's back.
