Anyone else baby still gagging when eating solids?

We try to get him to eat solid food (not purée) and he gags himself and throws up. I am beginning to worry.

Yes or he puts it in his cheek like a chipmunk. Not so much gagging but chews and spits out 🙈🙈

Our doesn’t gag but chews and spits food out mostly. Swallows very little. 
We happened to be at the pediatrician earlier this week unexpectedly (making sure his random virus hadn’t turned into an ear infection). 
I asked her about it. She said is it a texture thing or a taste thing and I wasn’t sure. She recommended only giving one food at a feeding but served/cut 3 different ways. Her example was a banana- cut in skinny strips, cut in rounds and mashed a bit. And put it all on his tray and see what he likes or prefers. He’s been sick so very little appetite at the moment but as he gets better we will be trying this.

Omg my daughter is the same. We never had this problem with our oldest. I give her apple slices that she likes to chew but spits it right out after each chew. Lol I was just looking this up on google to see if there were any other moms going through this
