After 11 years of ttc,losing 40kgs & a missed miscarriage,our baby girl Mia Michelle Suvada was born on the 22 december 2019.

I had that balloon thingy inserted on the 20th for 12 hrs at 1cm dilated.When it was taken out,I was 3cm and they broke my waters.I was put on pitocin to jumpstart contractions which came almost instantly,I was so adamant on no drugs but the pain was intense so I had an epidural,it was bliss for two hrs!!!

The pain started coming back so they removed the epi & done another one to no avail...they checked me again and i was only at 4cm.We decided to do a c-section.

I had 3 more epidural attempts and a spinal tap which finally worked,to a certain extent!

She came out at 12.06am all calm and went straight to her daddy!

This is where the pain began as I felt every little thing they were doing,I felt their hands inside my stomach & I was screaming in pain.They tried to put bubs near my chest but I did not want me screaming to be the first thing she heard from me so I told my partner to take her and stay with her.

They somehow knew that the spinal tap had failed and I was already set up for a general anastetic so I was put to sleep.

I woke up 3 hrs later in recovery then taken to my room to finally bond with the daughter I so badly wanted & would happily go thru the pain again for her!
