Would any of you future mamas consider having a homebirth?

Absolutely plan on having all my babies at home where I'm comfortable and safe from hospital germs and unnecessary  interventions.  Home is safer than hospital IMO. plus I'll have a midwife and doula.

BEFORE I had my son I was one of these super crunchy 'your body was made for this' kind of girls. While this is completely and 100% true WE DONT LIVE IN THE DARK AGES ANYMORE WHEN WOMEN LOVED TO THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 'CHILDBIRTH'. If you want a home birth just make sure your midwife is prepared to make the call if there are complications. My son and I would have both died if I hadn't given birth at the hospital. Not to mention a woman from my town had a beautiful home birth, put her in her room to sleep and they came back and she had died from hemmoraging. Everyone is entitled to their own birth plan and while I do believe in normal circumstances birth is beautiful and natural, I thank my lucky stars for the modern medicine that saved me and my son!!

From having spent a month in labor and delivery at a hospital, it's safe to say I'd never do a home birth. You never know what could come up and not having needed stuff nearby (resuscitation equipment, operating room) can literally make a life or death difference. I'd do a natural birth in a hospital, even with a midwife, but I'd want help on hand for emergencies.

I'm too paranoid, I want all the medical help to be available right here and right now when I give birth if anything happens :))) but I heard from many ladies that they had a good experience of home birth!

I'm having my first in December and I've chosen a homebirth. I read the book, Ina Mays Guide to Childbirth and it gives you such a different perspective. If you've been healthy all pregnancy there's no reason to go to a hospital where they treat you like you have a disease instead of a natural process that every female on the planet was designed to do, alone. Women don't realize more problems happen with all the interventions that the DR.s insist on... 
My sister had her 2nd successful HB in July so I've really been more opened up to it than others. Her first was 6.11lbs and her second was 9.1lbs. If she can power through, so can I! Of course my backup dr and hospital are in place if there's need for a transfer. But my mindset is headstrong in having my son at home. It's too bad more woman don't consider, because all we hear are the horror stories. That  book was a real eye opener. It's not to late to switch to a midwife if you're considering!

I would love to! My husband is terrified of something bad happening though and since I don't want him to be any more stressed than he already will be, I will be having a hospital birth, but it will be as natural as I can handle and I'll have my doula to help me through it all! (My family doesn't live close enough and I do not want his family to be in the room with me)

My first was an emergency c section, so my next will be a c section as well. If I had tried a home birth, I feel like I likely wouldn't have survived.  I appreciate the thought of doing it at home and naturally but it just isn't in the cards for me.

No way. I'm high risk for my next one. Had to have a c section for the first so if it's less than 18 months I will have to have another for my second.
