Advice for a newly single mom to be?

My fiancé and I broke up, probably for the better. He’s extremely narcissistic. Unfortunately, I love him very much still, I just don’t think he’s make the best father with his self-serving tendencies. I left him to protect my unborn child, being as all we did was fight and he was getting downright nasty towards me. Now I just feel numb, sad and alone. Can anyone help me find the joy in this?  Has anyone gone through this?

Your child comes first, always. And you'll feel more confident in that as the pregnancy continues. I'm 33w1d, now and we broke up when I was still early in the first trimester. Trust your gut, momma. Stick to what you know is best for that baby. You CAN do this.

I'm going through this exact situation right now..i have zero friends because he was so controlling and he just left me with nothing and so im trying to make new friends. Maybe we can talk?

My husband left me when I was 5 months pregnant and never met my baby. He FaceTimes her 🙄 and is still fighting me for divorce and custody 2 years later . All I can say is take it day by day and practice self care . I’ve been going to therapy these last 2 years and exercise 3-4 days a week. Both really help to clear my mind and a healthy way to cope . But it’s fkin hard

I was in this situation over a year ago. I left , the love of my child is more than myself.
It hurt for many months, then I started re connecting with friends, therapy helped.
I'm 25 years old, though I cant say many of my friends hang out with me anymore): ..but I'm not alone because I text them all day long

Going through the same thing. Was supposed to get married in September. Now I’m 17 weeks pregnant and alone while he is living it up. Together four years and still not over this. We talk almost every day but I don’t think anything is going to change.

I’m convinced my narc got me pregnant on purpose then verbally abused me through out my whole pregnancy, came in and out of my life. I was Hooved then discarded like trash along with our daughter. I now have him blocked. I don’t want him around my daughter and I at all! 
It was hell... you’ll realize putting yourself and baby first is the best thing you could ever do
These people don’t change and they only come back worse every time 
And it’s only to get something out of you not because they are sorry and or love you

I went through this my son is now 19 m
His dad isnt in the picture nor on the birth certificate,  I didn't want him to have rights at all, and even I struggled with money I didn't put him on child support 
It was hard. But everytime I was thinking and missing him I thought about how he hit me, and told me terrible things..
It took me 4 months to get over it. I deleted everything. I blocked him, changed my social media names and mobil number 
I'm sooo happy without him and my son is better off without him

The joy is knowing your motherly instincts are already at play. You left to save your child from a life you knew they didn’t deserve and you don’t either. Being a single mother is not easy but keep faith. Do you have close friends or family? Sometimes just having the support of friends will give you strength. Best of luck

going through this same exact situation and it’s really hard but i’m tryin my best to teach myself to not care. i feel like i was a different person before i met him and he’s super narcissistic as well and i feel it kind of made me fold/not stay true to myself. I have many regrets i know i can’t take back. He hasn’t been there or been helpful, he actually left when i found out i was pregnant and ive been trying to better myself.  Only us women/single moms know what we go through and have to deal with. we’re all we have besides our families. 🤷🏽‍♀️💓
