No: 
1) I did IVF and had PGS testing done so they sampled a small amount of cells from my embryo before transferring him 
2) even if something is wrong, I would still move forward with my pregnancy. Finding out now would just stress me out more and I’d spend way too much time on Google worrying about my child

Yes. With our daughter, I wanted the bloodwork done simply because I was impatient and wanted to know what we were having sooner. We ended up finding out that our daughter had a large cystic hygroma and unfortunately had trisomy 18. We lost her at 17 weeks. Shortly after we ended up pregnant with our son and had the testing done as soon as we could. Thankfully all tests came back normal, but we will always get the testing done and I always encourage it. It's better to know either way.

Yes, if baby came back as high risk it's important to make sure you have doctors that are experienced in caring for these issues and that you give birth in a hospital is well equipped.

My husband is adopted and we have a very limited amount of information, so that helped make our decision. We likely would have got the test anyways as even if something came back positive, I would like to prepare and educate myself for future challenges.
