i recently switched birth control pills...

i was on lo loestrin fe for 6 months and had just started my newest pill pack when my dr switched me to taytulla. she told me to finish out my week on lolo then to start taytulla on that sunday. i had sex on that sunday that i started the new birth control, but did it before it was time to take my pill. am i protected?
