I recently got the copper IUD (about 6 months ago) and my periods have been lasting around 12+ days each time. Other than this side effect I’ve had an amazing experience with the IUD so I didn’t want to have it removed. I went to my GP and she prescribed tranexamic acid (2 pills 3x daily for the first 4 period days). Has anyone had any experience with this? I’m happy to try it but wanted to see if anyone here has had experience xx
