Nicu experience?

Our daughter is doing great off oxygen in the NICU so far. The nurse had said something about she has to have no episodes of breathing problems for 5 days before they would let her go home.

Now we’re mainly focusing on her eating. She’s getting good at hunger cues but she’s not drinking much at a time from a bottle because she starts breathing too fast so they’ll give the rest through her feeding tube. They said something about 2 days of good eating means she can go home.

Did anyone else’s premature baby go through something similar to this? We’re just hoping she can overcome these so we can finally get her home! This is so hard!
