LET ME SAY THIS LOUD FOR THOSE IN THE BACK! GET IT SWABBED REGARDLESS OF LOCATION

You may save yourself from surgery as I was not able to. You see, in 2016 I went to my gyn with a mysterious sore that did not resemble hsv. She chose not to swab, sent me to a GI Dr. He chose not to swab a tiny lesion on my sphincter. He thought it was a fissure. Had he or her swabbed it I possibly would have tested positive for hsv 4 years ago and avoided the GI Dr from slicing my top sphincter in half. Moral of the story is ppl go get swabbed and blood tested often. We all carry this, it can lay dormant for decades. If a Dr won't do both tests pls find another Dr who will.
