How did the doctor instruct you to take care of your c-section scar ?

Mine involves 2 showers a day and I’m just like.... I barely even have time to brush my teeth lol
Edit: two showers a day, after the shower I’m supposed to blow dry the area and mid day I’m supposed to take an alcohol wipe and clean it and then blow dry again. Followed up with gauze being help up by my panties all day lol

I was given a special soap while in the hospital . I was only instructed to use it for the first 3 showers . Other then that I was told to pat my incision dry . 3 weeks postpartum and no sign of infection.

I got no aftercare advice from the hosp and ended up with a mild infection 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I now have one shower a day, use soapy water to lightly clean the area, get the shower head and rinse the wound for a good couple of mins. Then once I’m out I pat dry with a towel and leave basically. Mine has been a lot better since I’ve done this. Always follow advice from your doctor though.

Really? Ive had 5 and never once been told this. Infact they want you to keep it as dry as possible so two showers a day wouldnt help with that. Im 3 weeks post partum of my 5th and im lucky to shower every other day #momof6 #momoftwins
