HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I have just taken my daughters dummy off her. She is 2.5 years old. Since, her tantrums are unreal. She is having to learn how to apoth herself all over again!!! She is lashing out and it goes on for over an hour at times... any advice??? Please. It's so out of character...
