Postpartum depression question

I have been off of my psych meds since Dec of ‘18. I went off of them because of ttc. I have been fine and handling life well, but have not been subjected to any big stressors in this time. My dr has recommended going back on my antidepressants before baby is born because I’m more susceptible to ppd. I really do not want to go back on meds, but I am scared that the stress of a newborn will cause me to revert to old ways of coping without my meds on board. Has anyone had experience with this? Whether you want back on meds or didnt?
